Around 100 members of the public joined the event.

CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC) invited practitioners from both Chinese and Western Medicine to share pregnancy tips in the health talk on 26 July (Saturday). The talk successfully attracted around 100 participants who are parents-to-be and health conscious.


The talk featured registered Chinese medicine practitioners (CMP) Prof MIAO Jiangxia and Dr CHAN Sze Nga, Sarah from CUHKMC, along with Dr Stephen SUEN, specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology of CUHKMC. They shared comprehensive knowledge from Chinese and Western medicine perspectives, covering topics such as pre-pregnancy health regulation, pregnancy care, choices in delivery methods, and postpartum recovery. The speakers talked about caesarean delivery versus vaginal delivery, postpartum wound care, and how Chinese medicine could help treat common discomforts during pregnancy and postpartum.
