Statement: Scammers impersonated staff of CUHK Medical Centre

We, CUHK Medical Centre (the “Hospital”), were recently notified by the public of certain deceptive activities, where scammers impersonated staff of the Hospital to place orders with merchants (such as ordering mattresses and bicycles) with intent to obtain money fraudulently. If you are in doubt about any purchase enquiries claiming to be made by or related to the Hospital,  you are advised to email the Hospital’s procurement team (procurement@cuhkmc.hk) for verification, or call the Hong Kong Police Force's “Anti-Scam Helpline 18222” for assistance.
