Events

On 12 April 2026 (Sunday), CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC), in collaboration with The Nethersole School of Nursing under Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, co-organised the public talk on Patient Autonomy. It attracted around 250 members of the public to attend in person or online. 

The event invited distinguished experts from the nursing, medical, and legal professions. From a cross-professional perspective, they provided in-depth information including Advance Directives, Advance Care Planning, as well as wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney. The speakers also answered various questions from the participants, helping family members and caregivers of patients to have clear guidance when needed, so as to make arrangements that better reflect the patients' own wishes.
