The health talk attracted more than 130 members of the public to participate

CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC), in collaboration with CUHK Medical Centre Charitable Foundation Limited, hosted a public health talk titled “Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in Cancer Prevention and Breast Cancer Care” on 18 April 2026, with over 130 members of the public in attendance.

The talk featured Western and Chinese medicine practitioners exploring collaborative models between traditional Chinese and Western medicine, including clinical advances in early-stage breast cancer, updates on breast cancer classification and treatment approaches, helping participants understand personalised and precision medicine.

Chinese Medicine Practitioners discussed the role of Chinese medicine in cancer prevention and body constitution regulation, as well as its position in integrated cancer care and use alongside Western medical treatments.

The talk provided a broader understanding of developments in cancer and breast cancer management, and a clearer perspective on integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
