Public Health Talk on Allergy from Chinese and Western Medicine Perspectives

On 13 December 2025 (Saturday), CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC), in collaboration with CUHK Medical Centre Charitable Foundation Limited, hosted a health talk on allergy. Over 100 members of the public attended the event.

The talk delivered by Prof LIN Zhixiu, registered Chinese medicine practitioner of CUHKMC and Director of CUHK’s School of Chinese Medicine; Dr LIONG Ching, registered Chinese medicine practitioner of CUHKMC and Head of Clinical Division of CUHK’s School of Chinese Medicine; and Dr HON Kam Lun, Ellis, Specialist in Paediatrics of CUHKMC and Professor of Practice in Paediatrics (by courtesy) of the Department of Paediatrics of CUHK’s Faculty of Medicine. They provided a comprehensive analysis of causes and treatments of common types of allergy such as eczema, allergic rhinitis and asthma, debunking related myths and enhancing public awareness of allergy.
