Brain Vitality Programme Subsidy Scheme
With the generous donation from the Lee Heng Charity Foundation, the “Brain Vitality Programme Subsidy Scheme” (“Subsidy Scheme”) offers financial assistance to eligible individuals. Subsidies are available for cognitive health assessments and investigations provided under our Brain Vitality Programme (“Programme”) and related Brain Health Follow-up Support that our neurologists or related specialists deem clinically appropriate for each participant.
Subsidy Scheme Eligibility
Applicants must meet all the eligibility requirements below.
Aged 40 or above
Hong Kong Identity Card holder
Patient of a public hospital
Individuals who meet any of the following:
Cognitive Symptoms
With symptoms of potential dementia or other neurodegenerative cognitive disorders
Family History
With a family history of dementia or other neurodegenerative cognitive disorders
General Concern
Anyone concerned about their brain health
Brain Vitality Programme
AI-powered brain health assessment
The Programme combines i-Cog Brain Health, the world's first AI-powered retinal image analytic algorithm1, with specialist clinical assessment to assess risks associated with Alzheimer's disease and cognitive impairment.

Details and Fees under the Subsidy Scheme
Brain Vitality Programme
Alongside i-Cog Brain Health, the assessment pathway of the Programme also includes Brain Health Score assessment, cognitive function evaluation, and a specialist consultation, that enables participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of their own brain health status and evaluates the associated risks of developing Alzheimer's disease and cognitive impairment in the participants.

The above follow-up support timeline follows the completion of the Brain Vitality Programme. Follow-up arrangements will be recommended by the case doctor according to participants' clinical needs; participants may not be required to undergo all of the listed follow-up items at different months.

Terms and Conditions for Subsidy Scheme
By participating in the Brain Vitality Programme Subsidy Scheme (“Subsidy Scheme”), the participants are deemed to have read and accepted, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the Subsidy Scheme eligibility, the details and fees under the Subsidy Scheme and the related remark set out above (collectively, “these Terms and Conditions”). Services under the Subsidy Scheme are subject to their respective service terms and conditions.
To be eligible for the subsidy under the Subsidy Scheme (“Subsidy”), a participant must meet the Subsidy Scheme eligibility set out above, which include, but not limited to, presenting to CUHK Medical Centre evidence that shows he is a public hospital patient as deemed acceptable by CUHK Medical Centre before completion of all services under the Brain Vitality Programme.
Due to the nature of the Subsidy Scheme, once the amount of donation designated for the Subsidy Scheme has been depleted, the Subsidy Scheme will terminate without prior notice. Participation in the Subsidy Scheme is also subject to the service availability of CUHK Medical Centre and the participant’s suitability to receive the services under the Subsidy Scheme as determined by the relevant medical practitioner of CUHK Medical Centre at his/her sole discretion.
The Subsidy Scheme is only applicable to the Brain Vitality Programme and the related Brain Health Follow-up Support conducted by designated doctors and medical professionals of CUHK Medical Centre.
In order to participate in the Subsidy Scheme, a participant must call the Clinical Neuroscience Centre, CUHK Medical Centre during its service hours to book for the relevant services under the Subsidy Scheme in advance.
The Subsidy Scheme cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or discounts.
The Subsidy Scheme only applies to self-paid bills and does not apply to bills directly settled by insurance companies or corporations or to any insurance claims or reimbursement claims.
The Subsidy is not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products or services. Any fee self-paid by a participant under the Subsidy Scheme is not refundable and cannot be exchanged for other products or services.
If a participant was subsequently found to be not eligible to participate in the Subsidy Scheme, CUHK Medical Centre Limited (“CUHKMC”) has the right to disqualify such participant from the Subsidy Scheme and may, at any time, stop providing services at subsidised prices under the Subsidy Scheme and/or request such participant to pay for the services provided to him/her at their prevailing prices or recover the shortfall from such participant, and reserves all rights to hold such participant liable.
CUHKMC reserves the right to amend any item or requirement of the Subsidy Scheme or any provision of these Terms and Conditions, and to terminate the Subsidy Scheme, at any time without prior notice.
In case of any dispute, the decision of CUHKMC shall be final and conclusive.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”). No person other than the participants and CUHKMC will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of Hong Kong laws) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.
In the event of inconsistency between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
