CUHK Medical Centre Subsidy Scheme for Selected Endoscopy and Gynaecology Surgery Services

Thanks to the generous support of donor, CUHK Medical Centre is launching a subsidy scheme covering Selected Endoscopy Day Services and Selected Gynaecology Day Surgeries (Subsidy Scheme).

Eligibility

Eligible Persons

Hong Kong residents holding valid Hong Kong Identity Card;
Participant must hold a referral letter or appointment slip issued by public hospital;
Selected Endoscopy Day Services are only applicable to persons aged 18 to 80;

Electronic Health System (eHealth)

Registration in the Electronic Health System (eHealth) is mandatory; and

Assessment

Participant is required to undergo assessment* to be conducted by designated specialists of CUHK Medical Centre, where the designated specialist will assess participant’s health conditions to determine if the participant is suitable to undergo the relevant procedure/surgery under the selected CUMC Medical Package (CMP) and if the selected CUMC Medical Package (CMP) is suitable for the participant.

*The assessment is provided by appointment and the outpatient fees involved are not included in the selected CUMC Medical Package (CMP).

Remarks

All the procedures/surgeries under the Subsidy Scheme must be conducted by designated doctors within specified time session(s) as day procedures at CUHK Medical Centre.
The fees for the pre-procedure/surgery and post-procedure/surgery outpatient consultations are not included in the package fees under the Subsidy Scheme and shall be paid by the participant.

Terms and Conditions for Subsidy Scheme

By participating in the Subsidy Scheme, the participants are deemed to have read and accepted, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the eligibility for the Subsidy Scheme, the Subsidy Scheme Details and the related remarks set out above.
Due to the nature of subsidy, the Subsidy Scheme has limited quota and shall cease upon full allocation, and is subject to the service availability of CUHK Medical Centre and the participant’s suitability to receive the Selected Endoscopy Day Service or Selected Gynaecology Day Surgery (as the case may be) as determined by the relevant medical practitioner of CUHK Medical Centre at his/her sole discretion.
The Subsidy Scheme period is from 1 February 2026 to 30 April 2026, both dates inclusive, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
The Subsidy Scheme is only applicable to the Selected Endoscopy Day Services and Selected Gynaecology Day Surgeries conducted by designated doctors of CUHK Medical Centre within specified time session(s) as day procedures.
The participants can only enjoy the subsidy under the Subsidy Scheme if the Selected Endoscopy Day Service or Selected Gynaecology Day Surgery (as the case may be) is completed within the Subsidy Scheme period.
The relevant service must be booked in advance by calling CUHK Medical Centre Specialist Outpatient Centre at 3946 6888 during its service hours.
The Subsidy Scheme cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or discounts. Any fees paid for the Selected Endoscopy Day Service or Selected Gynaecology Day Surgery (as the case may be) are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for other products or services.
The Subsidy Scheme only applies to self-paid bills and does not apply to bills directly settled by insurance companies or corporations or to any insurance claims or reimbursement claims.
The subsidy is not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products or services.
If a participant was subsequently found to be not eligible to participate in the Subsidy Scheme, CUHKMC has the right to disqualify such participant from the Subsidy Scheme and may, at any time, stop providing the subsidy under the Subsidy Scheme and/or request such participant to pay for the services provided to him/her at their prevailing prices or recover the shortfall from such participant, and reserves all rights to hold such participant liable.
CUHKMC reserves the right to amend any item or requirement of the Subsidy Scheme or any provision of these Terms and Conditions, and to terminate the Subsidy Scheme, at any time without prior notice.
In case of any dispute, CUHKMC's decision shall be final and conclusive.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”). No person other than the participants and CUHKMC will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of Hong Kong laws) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.
In the event of inconsistency between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
