Introduction

Our Paediatric service provides quality and comprehensive care for children from newborns to adolescents up to 18 years old. Operated by a dedicated team of CUHK professors and paediatricians, paediatric nurses, lactating consultant and other professionals, our service aims to help parents and their children identify and deal with various health problems they may experience before reaching adulthood.

Our Services

Diagnosis and management of general paediatric conditions, such as respiratory tract infections, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infection, allergic diseases, skin rashes, vaccinations, growth concerns, common childhood injuries like pulled elbow, lacerations or sprains.
Diagnosis and management of paediatric conditions of subspecialized fields, including, but not limited to:
- Neonatology
- Paediatric emergency medicine

- Paediatric respiratory medicine
- Paediatric immunology, allergy and infectious diseases

如何進行睡眠測試(PSG)？ (Only available in Chinese)

睡眠有助我們回復身體機能、鞏固學習記憶等功用,但當睡眠質素長期欠佳，例如經常鼻鼾十分大聲、在夢中驚醒、尿床等情況，不但影響睡眠的功效，更有可能是患上睡眠窒息症。全港有大約5%的學童患有睡眠窒息症，影響學習表現。家長們如有懷疑子女患上睡眠窒息症，可考慮安排及進行詳細的睡眠測試(PSG)，以作診斷。睡眠測試(PSG)需配戴的儀器 * 腦電圖 (腦電波) * 眼電圖 (眼部動作) * 肌電圖 (下巴肌肉活動) * 鼻鼾記錄器 * 身體位置感應器 * 肌電圖 (腳部肌肉活動) * 呼吸氣流量 * 心電圖 * 胸帶 * 腰帶 * 血氧濃度進行睡眠測試當日，記得不要午睡，也不要喝有咖啡因的飲料 (例如：茶、可樂)

(Only Available in Cantonese) [傳媒訪問] 香港電台：【精靈一點】學童肥胖均衡飲食和營養攝取是子女成長的關鍵，但香港兒童的飲食經常缺乏纖維，亦同時受快餐文化影響，多以進食肉類、高脂食品、麵包或蛋糕等為主，令兒童肥胖問題越趨嚴重。中大醫院兒科專科醫生梁淑芳醫生表示，兒童肥胖的原因與父母常覺得子女沒有攝取足夠營養的誤解有關。有部分父母容易將年幼的子女定義為過輕或過瘦並因此放任其飲食，遂導致他們在5歲之後「肥細胞」開始膨脹。梁醫生提醒家長，要培養及促進子女的健康飲食習慣，其他照顧者，例如公公婆婆或外傭姐姐的參與，亦同樣重要；若果不正視肥胖問題、子女出現心臟病、糖尿病、脂肪肝等健康問題的潛在危機亦會上升。梁醫生亦於節目中分享了各種有助子女養成健康飲食習慣的小貼士，並介紹一系列的健康食譜予家長們參考。重溫連結︰ https://bit.ly/CUHKMC_RTHK_LSF_20240308 （重溫由18分10秒開始）
