Welcome to our structured exercise programme designed to help colon cancer survivors rebuild strength and stamina, restore confidence in daily activities, and support their return to work, family life and exercise, with professional medical support.

 

This programme is for patients referred by their oncologist following completion of surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy.

For Stage III and high-risk Stage II colon cancer survivors, finishing surgery and chemotherapy is a giant step forward.

Structured progressive exercise provides a supported approach to rebuilding strength and stamina, restoring confidence in daily activities, and gradually returning to an active lifestyle following treatment.

Programme Structure

 

This programme combines tailor-made Aerobic and Resistance Training. We aim at helping participant reach the recommended goal of at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week.

Programme Exercise Timeline

  • Phase 1

    1ˢᵗ Month

    2 times per week

  • Phase 2

    2ⁿᵈ - 3ʳᵈ Month

    1 time per week

  • Phase 3

    4ᵗʰ - 12ᵗʰ Month

    1 time every 2 weeks

  • Phase 4

    Years 2–3

    1 time per month

Includes regular clinical assessments at 3-month or 6-month intervals and patient education materials.
