Statement: Beware of suspicious SMS messages

CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC) was recently notified by the public of the receipt of a suspicious SMS message allegedly from CUHKMC, requesting them to download WhatsApp for conversation by clicking a link. CUHKMC has reported the case to the Police and hereby reminds the public that CUHKMC would not send any SMS messages to the public requesting them to download any specific instant messaging applications. Members of the public should stay vigilant, and should always refer to our official website (https://www.cuhkmc.hk/) or call our General Hotline (Tel: 3946 6888) when in doubt.
